Heather has worked in art related fields since leaving school, as architectural draughtsperson, display artist and interior designer.

 

Colour is her main focus, and acrylic her medium of preference.

Clay grabbed my attention some 20 years ago when I discovered it could be prodded, squeezed and pulled into an endless variety of shapes. And, what’s more,  be made permanent by fire. Amazing. The things I make tend to be purposed around holding and displaying food. I hold a Diploma in Ceramic Design and Production from Wanganui Polytech.

JO BAIN VISUAL CHILDREN'S VISUAL ART TUTOR

Jo trained as a kindergarten teacher in 1989 majoring in Art . Buying a small bach up on the coast in 1984, becoming a principal the same year. In 2000 Jo attended Hungry Creek Art  School for two years majoring in Painting and pottery. The next 5 years she worked full time as an Artist establishing her Painting style, winning Art awards and exhibiting in national and local shows.

She is currently concentrating on her own Painting with the one class for creative children on a Friday. This is also run as a holiday programme over the Fridays falling in school holidays.
